Serre is a medieval fortified village founded in the year 800 by Byzantines to ward off

The Longobards and is half way between the hills of Chianti and the so called Crete Hills of Siena.This beautifully restored house,the Palazzo Bizzarri,was bougth by the proprietors, Lucia and Giuliano Civitelli, who live here with them two littles girls. The main part of the house is a 1200 tower and there is an old, romantic walled garden.When Lucia and Giuliano bought the palazzo, they also acquired all the original furniture,curtains,crockery and linen and felt it was all too perfect to change

Serre is 30 Km from Siena and Arezzo ,90 from Florence and Perugia, in Rapolano Terme (4 Km fromSerre) there are agreeables thermals swimming pools.
